I'm a mountaineer, mountain runner and ski-mountaineering racer.
Over the past few seasons I have gradually increased the amount of training I do. I hope the Chariot will enable me to fit training around the other half of my new life: family.
I hope to be able to continue training hard while not missing out on time with my son, by combining the two – on the bike, running, on rollerskis and on real snow. So far he's still tiny so we've only used the Chariot for walking in the park, but I can also foresee a time, not too far away, when it may also help us spend better time together as a family. I often run with my wife alongside on a bike. Unless I want a really hard session, she usually has to slow down for me. Pregnancy slowed her down just the right amount and I suspect pulling Aaron in the Chariot will do the same; a great leveller! The same might apply when we both are on bikes – I'm usually slightly faster on the bike but if I'm pulling the Chariot our pace should be well matched, I'll just have to get fitter and fitter as he grows heavier!

I have been a professional cyclist for 18 years and a Mom for 5 months. Take one guess what has been the biggest and most fulfilling challenge in my career? Baby Olympia has been a welcome addition to my life, and together my wife Catherine (also a former professional cyclist) and I are enjoying every minute with her. Since both of us are athletes it's important for us to always be active, whether it's jogging, cycling, hiking, skiing or a stroll around the neighborhood, we do some sort of exercise every day! We have not slowed down one bit since the birth of Olympia, thanks to the Cougar 1 from Chariot. I am a professional athlete, and a stay at home Mom, and the Chariot has been the tool that has allowed me to tackle both jobs. My off-season training includes hiking, jogging and skiing, and as the cycling season draws near I need to put in many miles on the bike. Thanks to Chariot I am able to do all this with baby Olympia in tow!

Having my first child during my prime years of competition comes with its trials and tribulations. With all the training I do day in and day out, you would think I wouldn't look for the chance to physically exert myself anymore, but now that I can spend my time staying in game shape with my daughter by my side how can I not! Having her with me as I train is a great motivational tool as I am ultimately training to have her and the rest of my family be proud of me for all of my accomplishments. Having her with me makes me want to perform better than ever.
People always worry that having kids means they can no longer live their lifestyles the way they used to, especially busy athletes like myself. However, our Chariot has given us the chance to do just that! Along with my husband, a walk with our Chariot allows us to enjoy our time together as family while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. My husband and I are grateful for our Chariot and we plan on making it an important part of the youth of our beautiful daughter!

As frequent marathon runners, we both do 12-20 marathons per year, my wife Melissa Gillette and I spend a lot of time training. These runs used to be time for just the two of us, but once our family expanded our training group also had to expand. Now every time we run we push our son, Miles. Riding in the Cougar 1 has become a family activity Miles looks forward to. The padded seat, comfortable safety straps, and smooth ride allow Miles to easily fall asleep if he desires. With an enclosed design the Cougar 1 also allows Miles to play with toys, eat snacks, or read books without the risk of dropping them on the running paths. From a training standpoint the hardest runs used to be the first few days after a marathon. I often would say, "My desire to succeed far exceeds the pain I put my body through," but since using the Chariot Carrier I have been able to get back to training quicker after marathons.

I'm 41 years old, a retired professional cyclist, and eight months into one of the hardest and most rewarding adventures I've ever undertaken. I've accomplished a lot in my sport. I've been to two Olympic Games, won a world championship, been a national champion, and have travelled the world racing and training on my bike. I've also become a mom to a wonderfully outgoing, energetic, time consuming, attention getting baby boy named Emmett.
Since the birth of my son, life has become one big balancing act. I'm no longer racing, but I'm still trying to stay fit. Like all athletes I'm addicted to endorphins. Chariot has become a big part of my life because it gives me the flexibility and freedom to get out and exercise without having to spend time finding a babysitter. I take Emmett everywhere in my Chariot. I love how easy it is to switch from bike mode to stroller mode. It's lightweight and simple to use. And Emmett loves hanging out, playing with his toys, while I get my endorphin buzz. Riding my bike, and exercise in general, has a way of making the chaos of life disappear. It is something I will do for the rest of my life. And it is something I hope Emmett will want to do for the rest of his life as well. Thank you Chariot for making it just a little easier!
Happy trails and happy motherhood!

The first year after our daughter Juniper was born, we used to joke that she spent more time in her Chariot CX1 than she did in her crib. We use our Chariot year-round - skiing, cycling and running with it on almost a daily basis. The Chariot is a terrific training tool for both my husband and I, but more importantly it has provided us the opportunity to frequently exercise and enjoy the outdoors together as a family. We’ve put thousands of miles on our Chariot, often across some pretty rugged terrain and it’s proven to be incredibly durable and well-built. We just had our second child and we can’t wait to introduce him to the double Cheetah. Thanks Chariot for making such a quality, innovative product!

As an athlete, outdoor enthusiast, and a dad, using a Chariot Carrier
has allowed me to involve my son in the outdoor, active lifestyle that I
enjoy. It offers freedom for my wife and me to enjoy the outdoors together instead of taking turns staying home with baby. And, with a Chariot, we don't have to rely on a car for outings to the library, parks and around town.
Out of the box, our Chariot Carrier has proven to be extraordinary. Though I read the instructions and safety information thoroughly, the Chariot was incredibly simple and intuitive to ready for our very first outing.
Immediately, I recognized that the parts and materials were of the highest quality and some serious attention had been given to the smallest details.
Its versatility is what continues to impress me - and countless others who have asked to check out our Chariot when they've seen me and my baby bike, jog, stroll and even ski by. We've even doubled up; bicycle trailering the Chariot to the farmers' market, then dropping the wheels to stroll around town.
Our first winter season with a Chariot has also been the snowiest winter on record for our region. I'm amazed that my son and I have had so many opportunities to go cross country skiing out the front door - hours of fun made possible by our Chariot!
When Conrad soon blows out his first birthday candle, and when the snow
melts I'm looking forward to miles of cycling adventures with him.
Enjoying outdoor recreation is a family value that I'm glad to be able
to instill in my son from such an early age.
Thanks, Chariot!

As a competitive marathon runner, part-time dietitian and mom of two boys, complete training is only made possible with my Chariot Cougar II. Pushing nearly 65 lbs during weekly 20 km runs makes for great strength work. The Chariot design is phenomenal; light weight for running, smooth for napping, and great at races! I particularly enjoy the easy conversion to bike for cross training with the entire family on the trails. Our boys are comfortable passengers who enjoy their own window seats and are already learning the great importance of an active lifestyle.

As a professional athlete competing in cross-country mountain biking and off-road triathlons, most of my outdoor training involves running, cycling and cross-country skiing in the winter. My Chariot Carrier allows me to spend more time with my daughter and husband enjoying the great outdoors together. The design of the Chariot Carrier makes it super easy to switch from one activity to another, it is easy to maneuver, and even adds some extra strength training on the many hills where I live in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. All the while, it puts my little one to sleep every time and she enjoys a cozy nap while getting some fresh mountain air at the same time!

Training doesn’t have to take me away from valuable family time. As my racing requires that I travel a lot, I want to make the most of my time when I am with my family. With my son Joshua in our Chariot, and my wife Terri along side, I can enjoy our time together while still getting in some riding. People always worry that having kids means they can’t keep up the lifestyles they used to lead. My Chariot not only helps me to maintain my very active lifestyle, but I can also introduce the enjoyment of it to my son at an early age.

The Chariot lets me do what I love to do, cross-country skiing, and now I can still ski with my entire family. This is an essential tool for any parent who wants to stay active, enjoy the outdoors and to go on adventures with their children. Now that I have a family, I don’t need a minivan – I just need my Chariot and my legs, heart and lungs!” .

The Chariot has become another member of our family! We use it every day, whether it's a quick trip on the bike to the store, a jog with friends to the play-ground or a ski tour on the local trails, our son and the Chariot go hand-in-hand. I can't imagine life without it, and can only say Thank You Chariot for expertly designing one of the most valuable, indispensable tools an active family could have!

Like most new moms, I was worried about getting back into shape after baby Tycho was born. I was interested in the Chariot carrier merely as a training tool. With its ability to easily convert between a running, cycling and XC skiing baby carrier it was a no-brainer, nothing else was as versatile. But after our first family XC ski together on Christmas morning, I realized that the Chariot much more than just a training tool. It was helping us explore the outdoors together as a family and that seemed to bring much more enjoyment than a hard workout! Our "adventure buggy" has already taken us to great places and I can't wait until Tycho is old enough to join us on the local bike trails. The Chariot carrier is a must have for any parent who is active and enjoys the outdoors.

My life has changed with the Chariot. Well, the kids changed my life first, and THEN the Chariot. My husband and I had no idea it would make such a difference in our daily routines. Sausalito can be warm and sunny, cold and foggy, or windy and rainy from street to street as the shoreline and hillsides wind around San Francisco Bay. And snuggled inside the Chariot the 3 year old and the 7-month old are holding hands, singing songs or sleeping.
I can ride my kids up Mt Tam on Saturdays and out to the Headlands on Sundays, which is just barely enough to fortify me for work on Mondays. I have not yet joined one of the infamous early Saturday morning Century Rides, all decked out in my LUNA Sport kit, astride my carbon Orbea and sporting the Chariot and kids behind as my own sag wagon, but it has crossed my mind.
Oh... and possibly he best thing about my Chariot is that my husband is running again. No excuses anymore: (2 miles each way), through rain or shine to day care for the 3 year old. The 7-monther takes her best nap the whole way along.
Marla StrebMy ideal running companions are my wife Jennie with our daughter Pippa in our Chariot. As a competitive athlete, having a family has been a different kind of journey than I could have ever predicted. It’s had a tremendously positive effect on my life, although it has come with some challenges regarding scheduling. To balance our lives I have had to change how I train, and our Chariot has helped us in this regard. Needless to say, its all worth it, because being with Pippa is very inspiring and she always sure to bring a smile to my face.

For us, home is where the heart is, takes on a whole new meaning. My husband, son and I are on the road living in two different continents but mostly always traveling from training camps and competitions all around the world. With out the Chariot it would be almost impossible to be able to live our life with our family happily together. In the summer I can do all my training, cycling, running, ski striding, but most importantly roller skiing and never be forced to change my training because I can simply take Liam with me. Then in the winter I can ski and or have my son at the competitions and know he is happily sleeping in some place that is known to him. Thanks for letting me keep on competing at the top of my game, on the Biathlon World Cup.
