Two walks around the world

Two walks around the worldJean Béliveau is now crossing Europe, aiming towards Eastern Europe, and is in his sixth year of 12 of his around the world walk, yet only on his second Chariot. While in Paris, he was honored by the United Nations for his efforts to promote world peace. He left Quebec, Canada in 2000 to promote “Peace and non-violence to the profit of the children of the world.” At an average rate of about 33 months per continent, Jean has walked further than anyone with a Chariot. Currently, a Cheetah 1 has been his faithful companion, carrying all his 35 kg of gear, and he says “this Chariot has crossed all of Africa, parts of Europe, and it is doing just fine.” Jean is right on schedule, having walked about 37,000km, half-way around the world. Jean is in great shape, happy and is determined to finish his wwwalk in Montreal in 2012, with 75,000km on his soles – and Chariot.

Six-Time Marathoners

Six-tim MarathonersIn this age of video games, TV andoverweight children, Sandy Boyd has taught his two children the love of running. Sandy has always run for his own pleasure, and when Sonje arrived six years ago, they used a Chauffeur (like a Corsaire) together. That‘s when they did their first marathon together. Each and every year since, they’ve returned and finished the same run, making it six in a row. Their times are around 3h45 and now Sonje starts and finishes the race running beside her Dad. After each race, speedy and fit Sonje typically runs the children-specific races and she regularly likes running beside her dad on his shorter runs.

Two Incredible Trips

Two Incredible TripsIs adventure part of the human spirit? Some have a little, others a lot, and when both parents have a lot, look what they can do! For the past few years, with two children each, these French families, the Maurice and Dupuis have been traveling in rugged places with the usual: planes, boats, 4x4s, vans, but also with some unusual means: bikes, Chariots, canoes, donkeys and llamas! The U.S.A., Canada, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Venezuela, Brazil and Peru are just some of the places they've visited. Each family uses two 2-child Chariots when riding.
